Oman: Ongoing negotiations on navigation arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz are proceeding in a "positive and constructive" atmosphere
Oman has confirmed that ongoing negotiations regarding arrangements for navigation in the Strait of Hormuz are proceeding in a “positive and constructive” atmosphere. The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement carried by the official news agency, WAM, emphasized the importance of avoiding any actions that could affect these negotiations and the progress made, in a manner that respects the interests of all parties. Meanwhile, Oman expressed its condemnation of repeated attacks on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, considering such acts a violation of international law and the sovereignty of territorial waters, and a threat to the safety of maritime navigation, as well as to the security and stability of the region.
