Saudi Defense Minister: "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" Establishes a Framework for Long-Term Defense Partnership

Saudi Defense Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, stated that the “Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense” among Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey solidifies a framework for a long-term defense partnership. Prince Khalid bin Salman clarified via his official account on the X platform on Friday that the agreement “enhances deterrence, coordination, and integration among our brotherly nations and contributes to supporting the security and stability of the region and the world.”

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the “Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense” in Mecca, reflecting the three countries’ commitment to strengthening their shared security and achieving peace, stability, and security in the region and globally, with the aim of fostering a secure and prosperous future. The agreement aims to enhance joint deterrence against any aggression and stipulates that any armed attack on any of the three countries constitutes an attack on all of them. It also focuses on developing defense cooperation among the signatories.
