In the context of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts to develop health services, implement expansion plans for specialized healthcare provision, and enhance beneficiaries’ access to therapeutic services in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, the Dental Administration has opened the Pediatric Dentistry Treatment Department at the Al-Mutla’ Trauma Center (N10). This initiative aims to strengthen the specialized dental care service system provided to residents of Al-Mutla’ city.

The department’s opening ceremony was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Dental Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Asad; the Director of the Dental Administration, Dr. Jaber Taqi; the Head of the Jahra Specialized Center for Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Turki Al-Majawab; the Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, Dr. Amal Bahbahani; and the Head of the Nursing Staff in the Dental Administration, Najat Al-Rajab.

The new department comprises four specialized clinics for pediatric dentistry, alongside a fully equipped sterilization room and a dental radiology unit, providing a comprehensive therapeutic environment that supports diagnostic and treatment services in line with best professional practices, while meeting quality and patient safety requirements.

The department will provide services to children aged 6 to 15 years from Al-Mutla’ city during both morning and evening shifts. This will help expand the scope of specialized services, reduce the need for patients to travel to other centers, and provide healthcare services close to their places of residence.

The opening of this department is part of the Dental Administration’s plan to develop the infrastructure of therapeutic services and expand specialized services across various health regions, keeping pace with urban and population growth. It aims to enhance the efficiency of the healthcare system and ensure the provision of comprehensive therapeutic services that respond to children’s needs, contribute to maintaining oral and dental health, and improve the quality of life.

The Ministry of Health reaffirms its continued implementation of development projects that enhance the quality of health services, improve performance efficiency, and expand the scope of specialized services, thereby achieving the Ministry’s objectives of providing comprehensive, safe, and sustainable healthcare for all members of society.
