Abundant Supply of Shrimp.. Basket Priced Between 40 and 50 Dinars

Abdulkarim Al-Abdullah: The fish market in the East district witnessed a significant abundance of shrimp on display, amid strong consumer interest and stability in buying and selling activity, as local production continued to enter the market daily.

A field inspection noted the offering of more than 500 baskets of local shrimp, reflecting an increase in supply compared to the beginning of the season, which provided consumers with diverse options in terms of sizes and quantities.

The price of a basket of local shrimp ranged between 40 and 50 Kuwaiti dinars, depending on size and quality. Several sellers confirmed that the quantities offered were gradually improving as fishing operations continued, anticipating an increase in supply in the coming days with stable sea conditions and sustained activity from the fishing fleet.

Some sellers noted that the season was proceeding well so far, with daily production showing a gradual increase, which was reflected in the abundance of shrimp in the market. They emphasized that the continuous flow of quantities helped meet consumer needs and maintain market stability.

The aisles of the fish market saw active movement during the early hours of the auction, with shoppers keen on purchasing fresh local shrimp at the start of the season due to its high quality and widespread appeal among both households and restaurants.

Market traders confirmed that the abundance of local shrimp contributed to revitalizing commercial activity, alongside the continued availability of various types of local and imported fish, thereby enhancing consumer options and keeping pace with demand during this period.
