Severe heat during the day and warm, humid conditions at night over the weekend

The Meteorology Department stated that the country is affected by hot, dry, dust-laden winds. Generally, the weather over the weekend will be very hot during the day and hot to warm at night, with relative humidity rising to high or relatively high levels on Saturday evening, particularly in coastal areas.

The Acting Director of the Department, Derrar Al-Ali, told KUNA that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is being influenced by an extension of the Indian monsoon low, accompanied by a hot and dry air mass. Winds are expected to be light to moderate from the northwest, occasionally strengthening and stirring up dust, especially in exposed areas. Relative humidity will rise again on Saturday evening.

Al-Ali noted that the weather on Friday daytime will be very hot, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough. He added that the weather tonight will be hot to warm, with minimum temperatures expected to range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius.

Regarding Saturday’s daytime weather, Al-Ali said it will be very hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 46 and 48 degrees Celsius. At night, conditions will be hot to warm and relatively humid, particularly in coastal regions.
