Ghadir Al-Subaiti revealed the reason for her absence from the artistic scene in recent months, noting that she could not find roles that would add to her repertoire after her portrayal of “Thahani” in the series “Sadaf,” which aired in 2025. She emphasized that she is deeply involved in the details of the characters she portrays, especially since she is an academic. She explained that she teaches students at the Higher Institute for Theatrical Arts that character building is not limited to dialogue or performance, but encompasses social, human, and psychological dimensions, as well as the most minute physical details.
She added, “I am the actress who has been treated most unjustly, both artistically and materially, but I still say it’s fine because people speak well of my work.” During her appearance on the program “Kuwait Nights,” she continued, “If you enter the industry competing with other actresses to build your name on social media, that is forbidden; you should not take someone else’s place.”
The series is set in the 1970s, where investigator “Shahin” begins probing a series of mysterious disappearances of women. The only clue consists of photographs taken of them at the moment they vanished. The investigation uncovers mysterious secrets and unexpected individuals who become the focus of suspicion.
