Lebanese actress Rita Habbouche confirmed that her character “Joumi” in the series “Hubb ‘ala Waraq” (Love on Paper) marked a distinct milestone in her artistic career, allowing her to discover acting capabilities she had never previously showcased, particularly in the realm of comedy. During an interview with MBC, Habbouche explained that one of the most impactful scenes in the development of Joumi’s character was a video she watched, which documented the moment she left her home with her eyes closed, assisted by “Lina,” portrayed by actress Haya Marashli. She noted that this moment represented a genuine turning point in the character’s journey, as Joumi realized that these simple steps marked the beginning of overcoming her chronic fear of leaving the house. Habbouche added that Joumi repeatedly rewatched the video at night, oscillating between laughter and emotion, after discovering that what previous therapeutic attempts had failed to achieve was accomplished spontaneously and without planning, thereby ushering in a new phase of greater strength and self-confidence in her life.
