The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced the receipt of a new batch of contributions to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, provided by private sector companies and institutions, reflecting continued national engagement with the initiative aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s preparedness and improving the efficiency of the emergency response system.

The latest batch included cash contributions, each valued at one million US dollars, provided by Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Nesf & Partners and Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company.

The Fund emphasized that the continued participation of private sector institutions among the supporters of the Fund reflects growing national partnership and embodies the Kuwaiti private sector’s interest in supporting priority national initiatives, as well as its contribution to strengthening the country’s readiness and enabling relevant authorities to respond swiftly and effectively to various emergencies and critical situations.

The Fund added that private sector contributions constitute a fundamental pillar in supporting the national response system by providing the necessary resources to raise preparedness levels, enhance the country’s resilience, and enable competent authorities to implement priority projects efficiently and effectively, thereby reinforcing the values of national responsibility and integration between the public and private sectors.

It is worth noting that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was established through an initiative by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, following approval by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development manages and oversees the Fund’s operations, aiming to strengthen institutional resilience, improve national response efficiency, and enable relevant authorities to confront challenges and emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
