Emirati President and Canadian Prime Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on various aspects of bilateral relations and joint efforts to enhance them, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and other vital areas that serve mutual development and the shared interests of the two countries.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that this came during a telephone call on Wednesday, during which both sides praised the successful conclusion of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, which was completed in record time, underscoring their mutual commitment to continuing to strengthen the development of bilateral relations and their shared vision for elevating them to new horizons of economic and investment cooperation.

The agency added that the two sides reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest during the call, exchanging views on them, foremost among which were developments in the Middle East region and efforts to enhance security, stability, and peace in the area, in a manner that serves the interests, development, and prosperity of all its peoples.
