Rashford returns to Old Trafford in search of his destiny

English star Marcus Rashford is preparing to return to Manchester United’s ranks during the pre-season training period, amid ongoing uncertainty over his future at the English club, with interest from several European and Saudi clubs in signing him.

Rashford’s anticipated return to Old Trafford follows a difficult spell with the team, after he was excluded from former manager Ruben Amorim’s plans and forced to train separately from the first-team squad, before moving on loan to Barcelona.

Manchester United rejected the idea of extending Rashford’s loan to Barcelona, which subsequently turned its attention to signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United to bolster its left-wing options.

According to the Daily Mail, several Premier League clubs, along with sides from the Italian and German leagues and Saudi Pro League teams, continue to monitor Rashford’s situation, with a loan move currently viewed as the most realistic scenario.

The 28-year-old is expected to rejoin Manchester United’s pre-season training with players who featured in the World Cup, although no official date has been set for his return due to the sensitivity of his status within the club.
