Al-Arabi to Kolkata tomorrow to face East Bengal

The Al-Arabi first football team delegation will depart from the Turkish city of Erzurum for the Indian city of Kolkata tomorrow afternoon to face Indian side East Bengal on the 12th of the current month, as part of the AFC Champions League Two playoff round. The Green squad has been holding a training camp in Erzurum since the 17th of last month, during which they played four friendly matches: a 3-1 loss to Erzurumspor, a 1-1 draw with Van Sport, a 4-0 victory over Ammedspor, and finally a 1-3 defeat against Egyptian club Pyramids FC. In the match against Pyramids, Al-Arabi’s goal was scored by Kenan Maljko, while the Egyptian side’s goals were netted by Abdelrahman Magdy, Ahmed Atif “Qatta,” and Mustafa Zico.

The Al-Arabi delegation traveling to Kolkata is led by Khaled Al-Qabandi and includes the technical staff headed by Croatian coach Goran Sablic and his assistants, along with the following players: Suleiman Abdulghafour, Ahmed Aadi, Abdelrahman Ajaj, Hussein Kanouni, Mohammed Khaled, Jumaa Aboud, Al-Wahab Al-Awadi, Talal Al-Matroud, Jasem Shammout, Abdullah Ammar, Abdulaziz Nasiri, Ali Abdulrasool, Youssef Majed, Badr Tariq, Ali Khalaf, Ali Aziz, Hussein Ashkanani, Hamad Harbi, Fawaz Al-Dawood, Bandar Al-Salman, Khaled Al-Murshed, Saud Al-Anbari, Talal Al-Qaissy, Ali Al-Dokhi, and the foreign players: Aiyoola, Lucas Chalon, Kenan Maljko, Zaid Qanbar, and Leonardo Sheldon.

Meanwhile, three players are leaving the Green camp to join the Kuwait national youth team at its preparatory training camp in Thailand for the under-20 Asian Cup qualifiers. The players are Zain Al-Abidin, Aaid Majed, and Omar Al-Azmi.
