Mai Ezz El-Din: Motherhood is a Dream

The appearance of artist Mai Ezzeldin and her husband at singer Ragheb Alama’s concert marked her first public outing since rumors of her illness sparked significant controversy over the past few days on social media, following the spread of news about her health that prompted the couple to appear in public to clarify the truth. Taimour affirmed that the circulating reports were false, but expressed his hope that God would bless them with children in the future, saying, “May God answer our prayers if this happens, soon or late, God willing. Wealth and children are provisions.” He also affirmed that Mai would be a “wonderful mother because she is very gentle.”

Mai Ezzeldin also spoke about the idea of having children, affirming that she wishes to build a family and have children at the right time, considering motherhood a dream she looks forward to realizing when the right conditions are met. This was stated during her appearance as a guest on the program “Sahibat Al-Saada” (The Happy Wife) with journalist Esraa Yunes, noting that motherhood is one of her most important dreams in life.

Mai’s husband shared photos on Instagram Stories showing them together at Ragheb Alama’s concert, where Mai appeared extremely happy and harmonious, in good health, and without any health complaints, putting an end to the rumors surrounding her health condition.

In the same context, actress Nahal Anbar, who serves as the head of the medical file at the Actors’ Syndicate, addressed the uproar regarding Mai’s health. She confirmed that the post circulated in recent days, attributed to her husband Ahmed Taimour, was old and inaccurate. The widely shared post contained the statement: “Mai was unwell two weeks before Ramadan and was hospitalized for about a week to undergo a delicate surgery at one of the private hospitals.” This sparked concern among the public, who believed she was currently facing a serious health crisis. However, Anbar shut down the rumors and false news, clarifying that, upon careful examination, this health issue dates back to the end of February 2026, when Ezzeldin indeed underwent surgery, and is not related to any new health conditions she is currently experiencing.
