The Summer Scout Club Develops Leadership and Teamwork Skills Among Students

Dr. Mohammed Al-Fudari, Head of Programs and Activities at the Summer Scout Club under the Ministry of Education, confirmed that the club offers a comprehensive system of programs and training workshops aimed at developing students’ personalities and honing their leadership and social skills within an educational environment that combines learning with practical application. This contributes to preparing a conscious generation capable of bearing responsibility and serving society.

Al-Fudari stated that the Summer Scout Club is located at the Religious Institute in the Qurtaiba area, and that its daily program includes a diverse range of workshops and activities designed to develop students’ skills in leadership, patriotism, volunteering, and technology.

He highlighted that among the most prominent workshops offered is the Scout Charisma Workshop, which aims to enhance skills in dialogue, leadership, public speaking, and addressing audiences. This is complemented by a First Aid Workshop, where participants learn the basics of handling common emergency situations such as bleeding, fractures, and choking, thereby raising awareness and ensuring proper preparedness to respond effectively in various scenarios.

He added that the club also offers group games workshops that foster leadership and teamwork spirit, as well as a Scout Ropes Workshop where participants learn about different types of knots, ties, and Scout loops, and how to utilize them in various Scout activities.

He noted that the daily program begins with the flag salute, a step aimed at instilling values of loyalty and national belonging in students’ hearts. This is followed by the Scout call, which creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and encouragement, alongside daily competitions and prizes to motivate participants to engage and take part.

Al-Fudari explained that the club receives students daily starting at 5:00 PM, noting that registration will remain open until the end of August. He urged students to enroll and benefit from the programs and activities, which are launched under the slogan “Be Prepared,” emphasizing the importance of preparing Scouts to handle various circumstances and emergencies.

He called on parents to encourage their children to participate in the club, citing the high-quality programs and diverse workshops it offers, including volunteer work and national activities related to the State of Kuwait’s flag, alongside educational and skill-building programs that contribute to shaping students’ personalities.

He pointed out that the club keeps pace with technological developments through an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop, where students learn how to leverage AI technologies to transform images and drawings into creative works inspired by Scout activities. This includes designing artistic pieces inspired by the State of Kuwait’s flag, thereby enhancing creativity and innovation among participants while combining national identity with modern technologies.

For his part, Scout Leader Yousef Al-Shatti confirmed that the First Aid Workshop is among the most prominent training programs offered by the club, given the practical knowledge and skills it provides that students need in their daily lives.
