Our Ambassador to Malta held talks with his Maltese counterpart on ways to enhance cooperation and the situation in the Middle East

KUNA: Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Malta, Meshal Al-Mutairi, held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Chris Verrone on ways to enhance cooperation and address international issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the situation in the Middle East region.

The Kuwaiti Embassy stated in a statement to which KUNA obtained a copy that the two sides discussed the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance cooperation in economic, commercial, and educational fields, as well as to broaden the scope of bilateral relations.

According to the statement, the two sides agreed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and increase the number of students. They also discussed the possibility of opening study missions for other specializations at the University of Malta.

As mentioned in the statement, approximately 154 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Malta, most of them in medical fields.
