Apple working on launching smart glasses with health and sports features

Apple is working on developing new smart glasses aimed at enhancing health and fitness, by equipping them with features that help users track workouts and analyze body movements, as part of the company’s plans to expand the use of spatial computing technologies and wearable devices. According to a report published by the tech site 9to5Mac, the company is considering integrating camera-based and artificial intelligence technologies to enable the glasses to understand users’ movements during exercise and provide feedback to help improve performance. It is also exploring the development of a comprehensive health experience based on the expertise gained from the Vision Pro headset and the Apple Fitness+ service. The report noted that Apple had previously planned to launch a version of Apple Fitness+ designed for the Vision Pro, allowing users to track workouts and analyze their movements, but the project was shelved due to technical challenges and the device’s weight. According to the report, these features are not expected to be available in the first generation of the anticipated smart glasses, scheduled for release next year, as the company continues to work on developing health and fitness technologies in preparation for their introduction in future generations.
