Kuwait Financial Centre Supports Kuwait Emergency Response Fund with $1 Million

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that the Kuwait Financial Center (Markaz) has contributed $1 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, a move that reflects the continued engagement of private sector institutions with the national initiative aimed at enhancing the country’s readiness and improving the efficiency of its response system for emergencies and critical situations.

The Fund clarified that this contribution underscores the Kuwaiti private sector’s commitment to supporting priority national initiatives, and highlights the Kuwait Financial Center’s (Markaz) dedication to bolstering the nation’s readiness by supporting efforts to enhance the efficiency of responses to various emergency scenarios and conditions.

The Fund added that Markaz’s contribution helps strengthen the capacities of the national response system by providing the necessary resources to improve readiness and the efficiency of emergency responses, thereby reinforcing the concept of national partnership and enhancing the country’s resilience in facing diverse challenges.

The Kuwait Financial Center (Markaz) is one of the leading financial and investment institutions in Kuwait. Established in 1974, it has gained a prominent position in asset management and investment banking across the Middle East and North Africa region. Markaz manages a diversified portfolio of investments through its presence in 13 countries. As of March 31, 2026, the value of assets under its management reached approximately KD 1.45 billion, reflecting its extensive expertise and its role in supporting the financial and investment sectors and promoting sustainable economic development.
