Salah close to joining Turkish club Trabzonspor

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has reached a preliminary agreement with Turkish club Trabzonspor to join their ranks. According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah Sport on Monday, Trabzonspor has reached a “preliminary agreement” with Salah for an annual salary of 17 million euros, plus incentives. The report added: “Negotiations are currently underway regarding the payment plan and some other details. If the contract is signed, a private plane will be dispatched to transfer Salah from Greece.” Salah mutually terminated his contract with English club Liverpool after spending nine years with the team, during which he won several titles and set numerous records. In recent weeks, he had entered into negotiations with Turkish club Besiktas, but Trabzonspor entered the race to sign the Egyptian national team captain. Besiktas announced last week that it had frozen negotiations with Salah after the club’s management rejected the financial demands, which had stalled the deal, despite progress in the talks.
