Al-Murri: We strive to leave an imprint of the 'Kuwaiti Aircraft' on the international map

Our national junior volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Egyptian national team in a friendly match held the evening before yesterday, as part of both squads’ preparations for the second Arab Championship, scheduled to take place in Bahrain from the 9th to the 17th of this month. The junior “Blue” team is coached by Tunisian manager Mohamed Ben Cheikh, alongside his compatriot Maimouni, who has joined on loan from Al-Shabab Club.

In this context, Dr. Jaber Al-Mari, President of the Volleyball Federation, affirmed that everyone is working tirelessly to leave a mark for the sport on the international map by focusing on youth development and providing adequate support and training environments. He noted that the shared goal is to raise the name and flag of Kuwait at various international sporting arenas.

In a special statement to “Al-Anbaa,” he said: “We look forward to preparing the younger generations to bolster the ranks of the senior national team, and we are also seeking to compete with regional teams, especially as they have reached advanced levels in the sport.”
