Al Arabi's "Yad" features Korean Kim Joo-hun

Al-Arabi Club’s management officially signed South Korean import Kim Joo-hoon to bolster the senior handball team’s squad for the upcoming season. The administration is also seeking to sign a second foreign player, who will be selected from a shortlist of candidates.

In a separate development, the club is working to prepare the team for upcoming competitions by studying the possibility of holding an overseas training camp in Bosnia in early September ahead of the general league campaign.

Meanwhile, veteran goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Saffar has returned to the Green Fortress after spending several seasons with various clubs, including Salibikhaet and Qadsia. He made a strong impression upon his return. The management has also signed several local players, including Hamad Al-Adwani and Mohammed Amer.

On the coaching front, national coach and technical staff captain Hussain Habib confirmed that the preparation phase will begin on August 10. The focus will be on several key aspects, primarily physical conditioning, regaining footballing instincts, and establishing the team’s playing rhythm.

In an exclusive statement to “Al-Anbaa,” he said: “As a technical staff, we aim to compete for all available titles in various local and international tournaments, especially given the Green Fortress’s rich history of championships. We are working to ensure cohesion among the players, including those who have recently joined the squad.”
