Public Works obtains approval to tender the design and supervision of the headquarters of the Food and Nutrition Authority

Atef Ramadan In a serious step toward enhancing the institutional efficiency of vital government entities, the Ministry of Public Works has received official approval from the Central Tenders Board to proceed with tendering the project for the preparation of studies, design, and supervision of the implementation of the permanent main headquarters of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition. This green light came after a series of intensive administrative steps, as the Board reviewed the Ministry’s letter dated July 13, 2026, which included the tender documents, followed by a subsequent letter on July 20 of the same year carrying the official approval from the Ministry of Finance, thereby paving the way for the launch of this vital institution.

Sources told Al-Anbaa that the project primarily falls within the Ministry’s annual plan (2024–2025), noting that the general vision for the anticipated headquarters was carefully crafted to meet future aspirations.

The sources clarified that the design incorporates high flexibility to allow for future expansion, alongside providing a modern and advanced work environment and integrated service facilities, including administrative buildings and support facilities dedicated to backing the regulatory activities undertaken by the Authority. The design did not overlook the human aspect, as the new headquarters includes comprehensive services aimed at both employees and inspectors alike, directly contributing to raising institutional performance efficiency and accelerating transaction processing.

Regarding the project’s implementation timeline, planning estimates indicate it will span two main stages, meticulously planned: the first stage dedicated to comprehensive study and design works, followed by the second stage focused on field and engineering supervision of implementation, within a schedule commensurate with the project’s scale, specialized nature, and precision. This project reflects the commitment of government entities to provide integrated work environments for regulatory bodies that safeguard the community’s food and health security, enabling the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to launch into headquarters befitting its major national responsibilities.
