Minister of Higher Education Inspects Ministry Building in Qibla: Modern Institutional Work Environment Enhances Performance Efficiency

Alaa Khalifa: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, inspected the new Ministry building in the Howa area, to review the readiness of its facilities and monitor the progress of the gradual transition of the Ministry’s sectors to the new site.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Jalal said that the move to the new building is an important step toward developing the institutional work environment, enhancing performance efficiency, and improving the level of services provided to visitors and students. He commended the efforts of the teams responsible for preparing the building and completing its technical, administrative, and organizational requirements.

He added that the transition of the Ministry’s sectors to the new building would take place gradually, according to an organized plan that began with the Follow-up of Scholars Affairs Administration, followed by other Ministry departments in succession, until the transition process is completed, ensuring continuity of operations and preventing any disruption to the services provided. He emphasized the importance of providing a modern, integrated work environment that supports Ministry employees and contributes to accelerating the processing of transactions and elevating the quality of services.

The Minister stressed the importance of monitoring preparations and completing the transition process according to the specified timeline, while ensuring the facilitation of procedures for visitors and providing all services and resources that guarantee smooth operations in the new building.

During the tour, Al-Jalal reviewed the work progress in the Follow-up of Scholars Affairs Administration and its various departments. This administration has commenced its operations in the new building and is currently responsible for following up on students’ affairs and coordinating directly with cultural offices abroad. In the coming phase, it will become a comprehensive hub for monitoring scholars, enhancing the efficiency of follow-up, contributing to the swift resolution of their concerns, and providing them with the necessary support.

Accompanying the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the tour were the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Badr Al-Basiri, and the Assistant Undersecretaries, Dr. Faisal Al-Adwani and Saadoun Bu-Araki, along with the directors of the relevant departments.
