Khaled Al-Saleh: Cancer Patients Fund Successfully Provided Support and Assistance to 3,556 Cases

Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Cancer Patients Fund and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Association for Combating Smoking and Cancer, confirmed that the Fund has succeeded, since its establishment, in providing support and assistance to 3,556 cancer patients through the end of 2025. From January 2026 to July 2026, the Fund assisted 98 patients, with total aid exceeding 250,000 Kuwaiti dinars. This assistance benefited patients who had lost their source of income due to the disease or faced exceptional humanitarian circumstances. He emphasized that these achievements were realized by the grace of God and then through the support of philanthropists and benefactors, reflecting the significant humanitarian impact of the Fund in alleviating the suffering of patients and their families.

Dr. Al-Saleh added that the Fund’s mission extends beyond providing financial aid to instilling hope in patients’ hearts and reinforcing values of solidarity and compassion in society, based on the belief that cancer patients need someone to stand by them during the most difficult stages of their lives, enabling them to continue their treatment journey with dignity and peace of mind.

He noted that the Fund continues to receive and review eligible cases in accordance with approved conditions and regulations, to ensure that support reaches the most needy patients, thereby helping to alleviate the living burdens that might hinder their treatment journey.

He stressed that cancer treatment is not limited to medication; it also begins with a hand extended in generosity and a heart that believes hope makes a difference, and that standing by a patient in their hardship is a noble humanitarian message and a shared societal responsibility.
