Ministry of Electricity succeeds in getting through mid-summer despite challenges and rising loads

Darine Al-Alaitash The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy is participating in the fourth season of the national initiative “Sustainability Camp,” held under the slogan “When Technology Meets Sustainability,” as part of its efforts to promote a culture of conserving electricity and water consumption and to reinforce the concepts of sustainability among various segments of society, especially children and youth.

Sources stated that the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has currently passed the mid-summer period, which witnesses peak loads, and has achieved successes in navigating this period. The ministry is keen to ensure that the second half of the summer passes with the continuity of its services through several successful measures it has taken, despite the challenges the ministry faced during this summer.

The source clarified that the ministry places great emphasis on enhancing awareness of the importance of optimal use of energy and water, based on its conviction that building a culture of conservation starts with the individual, and that raising awareness among new generations contributes to reinforcing positive behaviors that reflect on preserving natural resources and enhancing consumption efficiency.

He added that the ministry is keen to leverage various national and awareness-raising events to convey its messages related to conservation through its different teams, introducing participants to best practices in electricity and water consumption, and highlighting the role of modern technologies and innovation in improving energy efficiency and supporting the path toward sustainable development.

He pointed out that youth represent the fundamental pillar in achieving a more sustainable future, emphasizing that instilling concepts and a culture of conservation in them contributes to preparing a conscious generation capable of transferring this culture to their families, schools, and society, transforming it into daily practices that enhance the preservation of resources, particularly electricity and water.
