Trump: Negotiations with Iran will begin today, Monday, and there will be an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz and another on the nuclear program

U.S. President Donald Trump said that negotiations with Iran would begin on Monday evening, noting that there would be an agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz and another regarding Iran’s nuclear program. In press remarks, Trump added, “We are discussing with the Iranians the format of the negotiations, and we will begin on Monday evening.” He continued, “We were ready to strike them, and the strikes would have continued; we were poised to launch a massive attack. But Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iran asked me to cancel the strike.” He pointed out that “it was supposed to be a massive attack on Iran, the largest since World War II.”
