Syrian-Japanese talks on reconstruction and investment

Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaybani met yesterday in Damascus with Kiichi Iwamoto, Assistant Foreign Minister of Japan and Director-General of the Office of Middle East and African Affairs. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, and discussed files related to reconstruction and investment. They reaffirmed support for the unity and stability of Syria, according to a statement published by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official accounts. Last week, Al-Shaybani also met with Mohamed Omar Abdelaziz Al-Faqi, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Syria, to underscore the deep fraternal ties binding Syria and Egypt.
