Launch of the International Damascus Festival for Arabic Poetry with participation from 16 countries

The 20th Damascus International Arabic Poetry Festival kicked off yesterday in the Syrian capital, featuring 55 poets, writers, and lecturers from 16 Arab countries, at the Damascus Opera House. The festival will continue until Friday, August 7, as a cultural event celebrating Arabic poetry and bringing together a select group of creative minds and intellectuals. The Ministry of Culture announced on its official pages that the festival program includes poetry evenings, dialogue seminars, lectures, recitation segments, and artistic performances, with the event open to the public.
