Dr. Rana Al-Faris, Chairperson of the Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha), affirmed that the anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion renews pride in the steadfastness of the Kuwaiti people and their unity around their legitimate leadership, which led to Kuwait’s return as a free and proud nation, and reinforces feelings of gratitude toward the martyrs, prisoners, and missing.
Speaking to KUNA, Dr. Al-Faris stated that this eternal national anniversary embodies the values of unity, cohesion, and loyalty, and demonstrates that Kuwait will remain dignified through its people and wise leadership. She added that honoring sacrifices and steadfastness is achieved through sincere work, safeguarding state institutions, protecting public funds, and entrenching the values of integrity and the rule of law.
She prayed to God Almighty to protect His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to perpetuate Kuwait’s security and stability, and to keep its flag flying high with honor and dignity, as a tribute to those who sacrificed for it and to uphold the trust left by the martyrs in the hands of its people.
