Finance Minister: Launch of a special fund offering investment instruments for expatriates next year

Cairo - Nadeh Imam: Ahmed Kajoog, the Minister of Finance, confirmed that a special fund offering investment instruments for Egyptians abroad will be launched next year, noting that efforts are underway to facilitate subscription, provide distinctive returns, and offer other incentives to our citizens living overseas.
Speaking during a panel discussion titled “The State’s Policy for Caring for Egyptians Abroad” at the seventh edition of the Annual Conference of Egyptians Abroad, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Kajoog stated that they are collaborating with the largest investment banks domestically and internationally to expedite the procedures for launching this investment fund, which aims to provide new investment advantages for Egyptians abroad.
He added that they are working with the Ministries of Industry, and Investment and Foreign Trade to launch an integrated digital platform for establishing companies easily and quickly, thereby encouraging Egyptians abroad to invest in their homeland and take advantage of the incentives, tax and customs facilitations, and economic opportunities in various priority sectors with competitive advantages.
He pointed out that every effort is being made to provide automated and user-friendly services to facilitate life for citizens both at home and abroad, noting that they are working on integrating artificial intelligence into all services and facilitations to ensure greater simplification and universal access in multiple languages.
Kajoog emphasized that a mobile application for real estate taxes has been launched, encompassing all services from registration and filing declarations, to requesting exemptions and making payments in any currency, benefiting Egyptians abroad. He noted that a mobile application for real estate transactions will be launched this month as part of the tax facilitation process, also benefiting Egyptians abroad.
He clarified that three distinguished tax centers have been established to reinforce a culture of customer service, with one recently opened in New Cairo. They aim to enable virtual meetings with Egyptians abroad next year through these centers, allowing for the explanation and clarification of any matters related to tax services.
