Kuwait University: Transfers Between Colleges and Majors to Be Conducted Electronically

The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at Kuwait University announced the start of electronic submission of transfer applications from August 4 to 6. In a press statement, the university clarified that transfers from one college to another are permitted after the student fulfills the general and specific conditions. It noted that a student who has completed 45 credit hours or fewer and meets all other transfer requirements will receive a message confirming their transfer to the other college. For students who have completed more than 45 credit hours and satisfy all transfer conditions, a message will indicate acceptance of the transfer request, subject to final approval by the university’s Student Affairs Committee.

The deanship specified that electronic transfer applications are open to students from the 2020 cohort and later who meet the transfer conditions, via the Student Information System. Students from the 2019 cohort and earlier must visit the Deanship of Admissions and Registration in person during official working hours from August 4 to 6.

It was further noted that students from the 2015 cohort and later are not permitted to transfer to any other college after completing 78 credit hours. Students who do not meet the transfer conditions will receive a message outlining the requirements they must fulfill to submit a transfer application at a later date. Additionally, students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Law are not eligible to transfer under this system.

Regarding internal transfers between majors within the university’s colleges, the Deanship of Admissions and Registration announced the start of electronic acceptance of internal transfer applications via the registration website from August 4 to 6.
