Minister of Social Affairs Inspects Care Facilities: Maintaining the Highest Quality Standards

Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah conducted an inspection tour of the Social Care Homes Complex in the Salwa area, visiting the women’s and children’s rehabilitation departments to assess the level of services provided and monitor the readiness of facilities.

During the tour, the minister reviewed the conditions of the residents and children, ensuring their physical and psychological well-being. She also listened to briefings from officials regarding rehabilitation and care programs and service delivery mechanisms, emphasizing the importance of providing a safe and comprehensive environment that meets the beneficiaries’ needs.

Al-Huwailah stressed the necessity of maintaining the highest quality standards in care, enhancing service levels, and ensuring the readiness of facilities and equipment to guarantee the best possible care for residents and children, while continuing field follow-ups to improve performance and service quality.

On another note, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, and Chairperson of the Supreme National Committee for the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, reviewed a visual presentation on the project to establish and develop a hall dedicated to serving persons with disabilities at the Ministries Complex.

In a press statement, Al-Huwailah said the presentation, delivered by the Ministry of Finance, outlined the artistic and engineering vision for the project, which is being implemented by a specialized company. The project aims to provide a hall where representatives from various government entities can offer their services in a single location.

She added that the project contributes to streamlining procedures and improving the experience of visitors with disabilities and their families through a unified service point that saves time and effort while enhancing the quality of government services provided to them.

The minister clarified that the presentation included the project’s key components, such as designing the hall according to universal accessibility standards, providing pathways and facilities adapted to various disability categories, alongside modern signage systems and supportive devices and technologies.

Al-Huwailah emphasized that the project aligns with the action plan of the Supreme National Committee for implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, reflecting the state’s commitment to developing government services and adapting facilities to ensure easy access.

She noted that the project enhances the independence of persons with disabilities, enabling them to access services efficiently and with dignity, thereby reinforcing principles of equality, equal opportunity, and social inclusion.

Al-Huwailah commended the efforts of the Ministry of Finance in coordination with relevant government entities to implement the project, affirming that this collaboration embodies the state institutions’ dedication to unifying efforts to provide a comprehensive service environment that addresses the needs of persons with disabilities.

She stressed that the Supreme National Committee continues to monitor initiatives and projects that contribute to implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, translating its objectives into practical projects that enhance quality of life and support the development of more inclusive and sustainable government services.
