Malico joins Al-Arabi training, while Kazma awaits Ndaw's arrival

Ethiopian striker Kenan Maliko joined the first-team training sessions of Al-Arabi Club in the Turkish city of Erzurum, completing the roster of six foreign players at the camp. This sets the stage for loaning out one of them before the close of the summer transfer window, particularly since the regulations of the Kuwait Football Association permit the registration of only five foreign players. Consequently, one foreign player will fall outside the count among Nigerian Anya Iwuala, Palestinian Zaid Qanbar, Brazilians Lucas Chaloun and Leonardo Sheldon, Senegalese Jowhar Kadem Rasoul, and Maliko.

Al-Ahli (the Green) continues its training in preparation for a crucial match against Indian side East Bengal on the 12th of this month, in the playoff round for qualification to the 2022 AFC Champions League finals.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, Kazma Club continues its daily training sessions in Izmit, split into morning and evening shifts, in preparation for the start of the Premier League on the 25th of this month. Kazma drew 2-2 in its first friendly match against Qatari side Al-Wakrah, and faces another friendly against Saudi side Al-Raed next Thursday.

The Orange (Al-Kuwait) awaits the arrival of its foreign player, Senegalese midfielder Amath Ndao, in Turkey as soon as his visa procedures are completed within the next two days.

On another note, a delegation from Al-Shabab Club departed the country yesterday for Cairo to hold a preparatory camp for the upcoming season’s fixtures. The camp will run until the 18th of this month. The delegation is headed by board member and head of the football department Jaber Al-Zanqi, with administrative staff members Masoud Mokhtar, Mu’id Surur, Meshal Al-Otaibi, Ali Imad, and Fahad Al-Assaf. The technical staff includes Brazilian head coach Wagner Andrade, assistants Marcus Dantas, national team player Issa Khalid, William Smith, and Dejan Pantelic, along with 26 players, the medical team, and equipment staff. The team is scheduled to undergo several training sessions and play a number of friendly matches.

In a separate development, activities for the youth sectors’ football teams at the club kicked off yesterday, including training sessions for the under-19 team led by coach Malik John.
