The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that the National Industries Group and its affiliated companies, represented by Noor Financial Investment Company and Al-Dorra National Real Estate Company, have contributed a total of US$5 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched by the Fund on July 5 last year. The contribution aims to enhance national preparedness and strengthen Kuwait’s capacity to respond immediately to challenges and exceptional circumstances.

In a statement, the Fund clarified that the contribution from the National Industries Group and its affiliates was distributed as follows: US$2 million from the National Industries Group, US$2 million from Noor Financial Investment Company, and US$1 million from Al-Dorra National Real Estate Company.

The Fund emphasized that this contribution embodies the national role played by the Group and its affiliates, reflecting their continuous commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing the country’s readiness and efficiency in facing emergencies. This, in turn, contributes to protecting the nation’s assets, strengthening the efficiency of vital facilities, and ensuring the continuity of essential services with effectiveness and efficiency.

The statement noted that the National Industries Group manages a diverse portfolio of activities covering building materials, petrochemicals, oil and gas services, mechanical industries, utilities, real estate, infrastructure, and financial services. It also holds significant stakes in several regional and international companies.

The Group has solidified its presence as a prominent investment force through extensive investments in vital sectors, including energy and telecommunications, in addition to holding investments in several global markets, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development confirmed that the establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was initiated by the Fund itself, following approval by the Council of Ministers. The Fund is responsible for managing and overseeing the fund’s operations, with the aim of enhancing institutional resilience, improving national response efficiency, and enabling relevant authorities to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations within a comprehensive national vision.
