African Champions League and Confederation Cup draw to be held next Thursday

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the draw for the preliminary rounds of the new season’s CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will be held at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, next Thursday. Zamalek and Pyramids will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Al Ahly and ZED will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup. CAF has allocated a prize of $6 million to the winner of the CAF Champions League, and $4 million to the winner of the CAF Confederation Cup. Additionally, each club participating in the preliminary rounds will receive $100,000 as part of CAF’s plan to support clubs competing in continental tournaments.
