The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Al-Makhzoum, affirmed that the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion will remain a witness to the heroic deeds performed by Kuwaitis, which embodied the highest meanings of resilience, sacrifice, and loyalty in defense of the nation and its legitimacy.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on this occasion, which coincides with today, Sunday, Dr. Al-Makhzoum stated that this remembrance gains doubled importance in light of the exceptional circumstances currently witnessed by the region.
He added that this anniversary further reinforces the value of national solidarity and strengthens faith in the importance of unity and rallying around wise leadership, as it serves as a fundamental pillar for preserving the nation’s security and stability.
He expressed profound pride and honor for the righteous martyrs of Kuwait, whose pure bloods nourished the land of the homeland, recalling their immortal sacrifices that will remain a source of pride and inspiration for future generations.
He commended the national efforts made by members of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy during the invasion period, as they continued their work by operating power stations and water desalination plants, thereby contributing to ensuring the continuity of essential services for citizens and residents who remained steadfast within the country.
