Presidents of the UAE and Ukraine: Intensifying efforts to enhance regional and global peace, stability, and security

The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on strengthening cooperative ties between the two countries across various fields that serve their mutual interests, within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership linking them. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that this came during a telephone call on Sunday, in which His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed spoke with President Zelenskyy to discuss the latest developments of the Ukrainian crisis and its humanitarian repercussions. The agency added that the Ukrainian President expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the continuous diplomatic efforts undertaken by the UAE to facilitate prisoner exchange operations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, as well as for the attention paid to the humanitarian aspects of the crisis. It noted that both sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments of common interest, and emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to promote peace, stability, and regional and global security, in a manner that serves the interests and development of peoples worldwide.
