Yemen: Full solidarity with Kuwait regarding the malicious Iranian attacks it is facing

Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah al-Zoubi praised the deep Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations, which are rooted in enduring fraternal and historical ties. The state-run Yemeni News Agency (SABA) reported that these remarks were made during a meeting between Minister al-Zoubi and Kuwait’s ambassador to Yemen, Falah al-Mutairi, to discuss ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations and expand joint cooperation across various fields, particularly in political, relief, humanitarian, and developmental aspects.

Al-Zoubi commended Kuwait’s supportive stance toward Yemen, its leadership, and its people, as well as the efforts it has made to back the Yemeni government and its sustained support for the country’s developmental and humanitarian progress. She also highlighted Kuwait’s assistance to Yemen across different stages and circumstances, especially during the current period, noting the relief and humanitarian aid and developmental projects provided by Kuwait that have reached various governorates and contributed to alleviating citizens’ suffering.

She expressed Yemen’s solidarity with Kuwait in light of the malicious Iranian attacks it has faced, affirming Yemen’s support for Kuwait and its measures to safeguard its security and stability, and reiterating Yemen’s rejection of any actions targeting Kuwait’s security and sovereignty.

The Yemeni Foreign Minister also outlined recent developments in Yemen, citing the escalation driven by the Iran-backed Houthi militias, which pose a threat to security and stability and present significant political, humanitarian, and economic challenges. She emphasized that the Yemeni government remains committed to its efforts to restore state institutions and consolidate security and stability.

For his part, Kuwait’s ambassador to Yemen, Falah al-Mutairi, reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued support for Yemen, standing by its unity, security, and stability, and its commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields and continuing to support humanitarian and developmental efforts that contribute to achieving security and stability and meeting the Yemeni people’s aspirations for peace and development.
