Officers from the General Administration for Combating Narcotics thwarted an attempt to pump more than three kilograms of various drugs into the hands of users, arresting 16 individuals of different nationalities. The suspects were found in possession of various quantities of narcotics, approximately 2,600 drug pills, three sensitive scales, 960 Kuwaiti dinars in sales proceeds, and 96 papers saturated with the chemical drug.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the seizure of the narcotics and the apprehension of the suspects resulted from nine cases referred to the Public Prosecution. It noted that the seized items included 3 kilograms and 35 grams of shabu, 15 grams of heroin, two grams of the chemical drug, 96 papers saturated with the same narcotic, 2,502 Captagon tablets, and 21 tablets of other substances.
The Ministry added that the suspects had been referred to the Public Prosecution, reaffirming its continued pursuit of anyone attempting to traffic in these poisonous narcotics.
