Al-Safa Humanitarian carries out more than 2,500 eye surgeries in five countries with donations exceeding 95,000 dinars

Al-Safa Human Association continued implementing its medical caravan project for eye surgery in several countries. During the first half of this year, the association successfully performed more than 2,500 eye surgeries in Somalia, Niger, Chad, Turkey, and Yemen, funded by donations exceeding 95,000 Kuwaiti dinars, in collaboration with health and official authorities in the beneficiary countries.

Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Shaie, the General Director of Al-Safa Human Association, stated that the eye surgery project is among the specialized health initiatives the association is keen to implement due to its profound humanitarian impact. It contributes to restoring the blessing of sight to thousands of patients and alleviates their suffering as well as that of their families. He emphasized that these achievements came by the grace of God Almighty, followed by the support of philanthropists and benefactors who have turned their generosity into renewed hope for patients.

Al-Shaie added that the association aims through these caravans to reach populations unable to afford treatment costs, particularly in rural areas and displacement camps.
