Al-Sahel to Maintain Top Spot in 'Al-Awalya' at the Expense of Burqan

The three teams leading the Zain League First Division, Al-Salmiya, Al-Yarmouk, and Al-Shabab, are aiming for another step toward securing their promotion tickets to the Premier League as the competition’s 16th round kicks off today.

Al-Yarmouk will face Al-Shamya at 7:00 p.m. at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium in Al-Shabab, while Al-Shabab will play against Khaitan at Al-Salmiya’s stadium at 8:45 p.m. At the same time, Al-Salmiya will face Burqan at Nasser Al-Asimi Stadium. At 9:45 p.m., Al-Jazira will take on Sportline at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium.

Al-Salmiya tops the table with 33 points, followed by Al-Yarmouk and Al-Shabab in second and third place, respectively, each with 32 points. Al-Jazira is fourth with 28 points, Burqan fifth with 24 points, Khaitan sixth with 18 points, Al-Shamya seventh with 10 points, and Sportline last with 3 points.
