After Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor attempts to sign Mohamed Salah for €17 million

Speculation is mounting regarding the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, amid media reports indicating growing interest from Turkish Super Lig clubs in signing him during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Spanish newspaper AS reported that Trabzonspor has submitted a two-year offer, including an annual salary of 17 million euros, in an attempt to persuade the Egyptian national team captain to join their ranks.

In a similar vein, the French network Foot Mercato stated that the stalled previous negotiations between Salah and Besiktas do not mean the end of his chances of moving to Turkey. Rather, according to the report, Trabzonspor has emerged as the closest destination at present, with indications that the two parties are nearing a final agreement.

The network added that Besiktas had previously reached a verbal agreement with the player for a one-year contract with an option to extend, in exchange for a net annual salary of 10 million euros, plus bonuses reaching 2 million euros, before negotiations broke down in their final stages.

This development follows Salah’s distinguished career at Liverpool, which spanned nine years, during which he played 442 matches, scored 257 goals, and contributed to winning nine titles with the English club.
