Arab League: Recent Israeli violations and attacks in southern Lebanon are shameful and unacceptable
Cairo – Hanaa El-Sayed: Nabil El-Araby, Secretary-General of the Arab League, affirmed the full Arab support for the Lebanese state’s position condemning the shameful Israeli violations and attacks on southern Lebanon, particularly the recent explosions that targeted infrastructure and historical landmarks inscribed on the World Heritage List, in a blatant and unacceptable violation of international laws and norms. He stressed solidarity with Lebanon in preserving its security, stability, and sovereignty.
El-Araby clarified that the continuation of this aggressive approach by the Israeli occupation threatens to undermine the ongoing negotiation process, and calls for immediate action by the international community, particularly the United States—as a guarantor of the negotiations—to halt these brazen Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and to fully comply with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which constitutes an important international guarantee for safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereign rights.
