Interior Ministry: 1,253 wanted persons and violators apprehended, 1,432 dilapidated houses identified
Under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with relevant government entities, continued implementing the comprehensive security campaign in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, completing field measures aimed at eliminating violations, enhancing security and public order, and addressing encroachments in the region.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Interior said that the comprehensive security campaign, led by Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab, resulted in the apprehension of 1,253 individuals wanted for security reasons and violators of residency and labor laws, as well as 36 children born out of incest cases, accompanied by their mothers. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authorities.
The ministry noted that the Kuwait Municipality issued 777 violation reports, removed 27 abandoned vehicles, and placed 64 warning notices on abandoned vehicles. Cleaning operations were carried out on Al-Tamayoz Private School Street, Street 162, and surrounding streets, with ongoing inspection rounds to monitor violations.
It added that the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy reduced electrical loads in the Farwaniya Governorate by 60 percent as a result of cutting power supply to 1,200 illegal residences.
The Ministry of Public Works reported the following outcomes: identifying 1,432 houses at risk of collapse, closing 20 illegal sewage connections, and addressing 60 cases of street blockages.
Regarding the activities of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, 256 seizure reports were issued, and 10 closure orders were enforced.
The Ministry of Interior noted that the Ministry of Health treated 784 cases at the shelter center and referred 61 cases to hospitals. Meanwhile, General Fireforce officers executed 188 administrative closure orders.
Officers from the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs issued 90 violation reports for environmental infractions and referred them to the Public Prosecution.
As for the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, it issued 315 violation reports, 9 reports for the destruction of food items, and 12 requests to close illegal facilities.
Regarding the activities of the Public Authority for Manpower, 6,511 inspection cases were conducted on shops and investment facilities, with 1,471 violating facilities seized and legal measures taken against them. Additionally, 376 individuals were examined, 129 cases of paying money for residency were identified, and 110 individuals from the expatriate labor shelter were referred to the Deportation Department, with ongoing inspection rounds in the area to monitor encroachments and violations.
The ministry emphasized that security agencies and field teams, in cooperation with relevant government entities, continue their operations by inspecting evacuated residences and monitoring and apprehending any attempts to violate security procedures and decisions issued by competent authorities. It stressed that all legal measures will be taken against anyone proven to have committed violations, and that security campaigns will continue and cover all violating areas according to a comprehensive field plan, contributing to maintaining security and public order, preventing the recurrence of encroachments and violations, and enhancing the quality of life.
