The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and rejection of the continued, reprehensible Iranian aggression against the country, which today targeted several key facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country, as well as civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, through hostile drones. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, a serious breach of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, the principles of good neighborliness, and Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Ministry emphasized that the continuation of these brazen attacks reflects a determination to persist in hostile conduct, thereby undermining security and stability in the region and exacerbating tensions.
The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s inherent and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, interests, capabilities, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
