Spain and Portugal threaten to withdraw from 2030 World Cup organization

Media reports on Friday revealed that Spain and Portugal have hinted at the possibility of withdrawing from the 2030 World Cup finals if FIFA proceeds with its plan to involve private sector investors. According to the same reports, this stance aligns with UEFA’s threat to boycott the World Cup if FIFA moves forward with its controversial project.

The 2030 World Cup is scheduled to be held across six countries and three continents. Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will each host one match at the beginning of the tournament, while the remaining matches will be distributed among Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.
