Traffic Department: Adhere to safety procedures when changing lanes

The General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that lane changing is one of the primary causes of traffic accidents when not performed in accordance with the correct procedures for moving between lanes.

The Directorate explained that safely changing lanes from one lane to another requires ensuring the road is clear, using the turn signal in advance, gradually moving into the desired lane, and maintaining an appropriate speed while keeping a safe distance from other vehicles.

It called on all drivers to adhere to these guidelines to ensure their safety and the safety of other road users, emphasizing that compliance with safe driving rules helps reduce accidents and protect lives.
