Paris Leads the World in Street Food: Study Reveals Surprises in the Top 10 Cities List

A recent study conducted by Radical Storage and reported by Euronews revealed that the French capital, Paris, ranked first among the world’s best cities for street food, surpassing destinations globally renowned for this type of cuisine.

The study analyzed 6,897 vendors across the 100 most visited cities worldwide, evaluating them based on criteria including vendor quality, culinary diversity, availability of vegetarian and gluten-free options, reasonable prices, and vendor density. Paris scored 7.2 out of 10, thanks to its diverse offerings and a high proportion of highly rated vendors. Athens and Thessaloniki came in second and third, respectively, while the list also included Barcelona, London, Rhodes, Rome, Hanoi, Budapest, and Amsterdam. The results further showed that Rhodes recorded the highest proportion of highly rated vendors, while London led in culinary diversity.

The study offers a different perspective on the global street food scene, emphasizing quality, diversity, and accessibility rather than focusing solely on the fame of traditional dishes.
