Presidents of the UAE and Syria discuss regional developments and efforts to consolidate security and stability in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a telephone conversation to discuss fraternal relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, in a manner that would bring prosperity and growth to both countries and their peoples. The UAE News Agency (WAM) reported that the two sides reaffirmed, during the call, their mutual commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and elevate them to broader horizons, in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries. The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues and developments of mutual interest, exchanging views on them, with a focus on recent developments in the Middle East region and the efforts undertaken to consolidate the foundations of security, stability, and peace in the region for the benefit of all its peoples.
