Yemeni Foreign Minister: We appreciate Kuwait's stance and support for Yemen and its people
Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah al-Zoubi praised the deep Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations, which are rooted in enduring fraternal and historical ties.
According to the state-run Yemeni News Agency (Saba), this came during a meeting between Minister al-Zoubi and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, to discuss ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations between the two countries and to explore prospects for expanding joint cooperation in various fields, particularly in political, relief, humanitarian, and developmental aspects.
Al-Zoubi commended Kuwait’s supportive stance toward Yemen, its leadership, and its people, as well as the efforts it has made to back the Yemeni government and its continuous support for the country’s developmental and humanitarian trajectory.
She also praised Kuwait’s support for Yemen across different stages and circumstances, especially during the current period, highlighting the relief and humanitarian aid provided by Kuwait, along with developmental projects that covered various governorates and contributed to alleviating the suffering of citizens.
She expressed Yemen’s solidarity with Kuwait in light of the malicious Iranian attacks it faces, affirming Yemen’s steadfast support for Kuwait and its measures to safeguard its security and stability, and rejecting any actions targeting its security and sovereignty.
The Yemeni Foreign Minister pointed out recent developments in Yemen amid the latest escalations driven by the Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, which pose a threat to security and stability and present political, humanitarian, and economic challenges.
She affirmed that the Yemeni government remains committed to its efforts to restore state institutions and consolidate security and stability.
For his part, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued support and solidarity with Yemen, its unity, security, and stability, and its commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation relations across various fields and continuing to support humanitarian and developmental efforts that contribute to achieving security and stability and meeting the Yemeni people’s aspirations for peace and development.
