Industrial fuel price per ton reduced from $475 to $400.. Minister of Economy welcomes the move: lowers production costs and enhances competitiveness of national products

Energy Minister Mohammed Al-Bashir announced that the ministry has directed a reduction in the price of industrial fuel from $475 to $400 per ton. Al-Bashir added in a post on the X platform that the price cut aims to ease production costs for industrialists, encouraging them and supporting the continued operation of the production cycle, which will positively impact the market and consumers. He affirmed that the ministry will continue to take measures to support productive sectors and strengthen the recovery of the national economy.

In a statement to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the Energy Minister revealed that the price reduction is part of the government’s support for the industrial sector, aimed at encouraging industrialists, enhancing the competitiveness of Syrian producers, and alleviating the burdens on production facilities.

For his part, Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar confirmed that the decision to lower the price of industrial fuel reflects the state’s commitment to supporting industrialists and creating a more conducive environment for production and investment. He explained in a statement that the move reduces operational burdens on industrial facilities, thereby enhancing their capacity for production and expansion.

Al-Shaar noted that the state’s contribution to reducing energy costs constitutes direct support for the industrial sector, as it leads to lower production costs, strengthens the competitiveness of national products, stimulates investment, and increases the ability to access both local and international markets.
