Gulf Football Union Launches New Visual Identity and Adopts New Name

The Gulf Football Union announced today the launch of its new visual identity and the adoption of its official name, “Gulf Football Union,” replacing the previous title “Gulf Cup of Nations Football Association.”
In a statement, the Gulf Football Union affirmed that the new identity embodies values of trust, vitality, and modernity, reflecting a strategic vision aimed at consolidating the Union’s position as a leading sports platform and building a contemporary presence that captures the spirit of the game and the aspirations of Gulf football under one umbrella.
It noted that the new logo draws inspiration from the region’s identity, culture, and heritage, while simultaneously expressing the rapid development witnessed by Gulf football and aiming to inspire emerging generations.
On this occasion, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Gulf Football Union, said: “We are at a pivotal moment in our growth journey, and it is essential to adopt a new identity that reflects the transformative journey we are preparing to embark on in the coming decades.”
He added: “Our vision for the future remains steadfast, and we aspire to contribute to enhancing the presence and success of Gulf football teams and clubs on the global stage. This new identity embodies our ambitions to achieve unprecedented levels of excellence and success.”
He clarified that in recent years, strategic partnerships have been established that have supported the development of Gulf football, strengthened the growth of the Union’s tournaments, consolidated the status of its competitions, and reflected the growing passion for football in the region, thereby paving the way for new horizons of excellence and success.
